Spy Shots: 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe
After, the not so successful release particularly in the U.S., of Mercedes-Benz’s last C-Class coupe, the CLC, the Mercedes Benz is caught working and testing on an all-new version of the C-Class Coupe. This failure to succeed of the coupe is attributed in part to its awkward styling and in part towards its being based on the previous-generation car, with only minor styling tweaks to update its look.
The new C-Class Coupe would debut as a 2011 model sometime next year. The 2011 year model shall be bearing the front-end looks with the cosmetic improvement in the C-Class sedan. The new Coupe’s proportions are more in line with the rest of the range. The 2001 C-Class Coupe may appear to some a bit like a down-sized E-Class Coupe.
The front bumper is still clad heavily to exploiting the natural surroundings to disguise it. It is very much perceived that the nose will get a look similar to that of the new E-Class, possibly with LED daytime running lights below the headlights. The other cosmetic upgrading includes a wide, mesh-covered lower air intake below a two-bar grille in the new 2011 sedan.
The AMG C-Class Coupe is considered likely to get the new 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine that powers the other Mercedes AMG products such as the new CL-Class. The coupe may have both six-speed manual transmission and seven-speed automatic transmissions across the new range.
