by Alex

Chevrolet has revealed that it will be releasing 8 different variations of the latest generation Aveo. It has been indicated that the 1.3 liter diesel engine will be provided for the exclusive Aveo models like LTZ VCDi only. The lower end models will probably come with a 1.2 liter LS engine.

The Aveo variants will be equipped with 5-speed manual transmission with the exception of the 1.4 liter models who will offer a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2012 Aveo will be offered by Chevrolet with an option to choose from four engines, two running on petrol and the other two on diesel. Both the diesel variants give a displacement of 1.3 liters with one supplying 95 horsepower and the other 75 horsepower. However if you prefer petrol engines then you can choose between the powerful 1.4 liter engine which gives 101 horsepower and the 1.2 liter engine which provides an output of 86 horsepower.

The higher range Aveo variants like the LT will feature 15 inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth compatibility, driver information center, four –way driver’s seat and steering wheel audio controls to name a few. On the other hand, only standard features like electrically controlled heated door mirrors and front windows, rear spoiler and remote locking will be provided with the lower range Aveo models. Chevrolet has said that the 1.3 LTZ 2012 Aveo model will be provide with some additional amazing features like rear parking sensors, front fog lamps, leather steering wheel and front fog lamps.

The 2012 Aveo models will be available to purchase in all Chevrolet dealerships from January 2012 in United Kingdom.
