The driver of a stolen car deals with a number of charges after running from officers and striking into multiple cars on the parking lot of the Hernando Walmart.

According to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to stop the driver, 44-year-old Stacey Guiltner from Michigan, in the Hernando Walmart parking lot at about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Guiltner escaped from the scene and hit a patrol car and an unmarked car. She also hit a passenger van in the parking lot and an automobile at the Walmart gas pumps.

Guiltner led officials on a pursuit down McIngvale Road to Green T Road. The pursuit ended after the car went off the road. Guiltner was then taken into custody without incident.

DCSO said she was using a stolen car out of Michigan.

No officials were injured.

Guiltner was then taken to the DeSoto County jail. She is charged with multiple felonies, including aggravated assault on law enforcement, felony fleeing, and automobile theft.
