Ford Mustang assured for police duty in UK

The Ford Mustang was displayed in cops livery at a trade convention in the United Kingdom, which in turn made a few others to report that Ford would soon start selling it to local forces.

A spokesman wouldn’t confirm future strategies, but stated, “our company believe a Mustang would make an outstanding patrol vehicle and would encourage safer driving on our UK roads”. He included: “We anticipate to have more info later in the summer.”

The vehicle in these images is using a battenburg livery utilized in the United Kingdom. Fitting Mustangs for abroad cops work (American departments have used them for many years) is the next action in the advancement of the Mustang as an international sports automobile. Ford started shipping Mustangs to the UK late in 2015 to a warm reception. Ford has racked up 3,500 sales, and the first 1,000 ‘Stangs were provided in March, according to the most recent data.

With its effective engine lineup and rear-wheel drive setup, the Mustang embodies conventional American performance. Seeing an opportunity, Ford released sales around the world in 2015, having over 110,000 units in 2015. It’s now integrated in right- and left-hand drive versions at a factory located in Michigan for sale in 140 markets. In Europe alone, Ford states it’s received over 16,600 orders.
