Ford to Only Offer one RS-Model at a Time

by SpeedLux

Roelant de Waard, Marketing President of Ford for Europe, recently confirmed that the company may not offer more than one RS-Model at any given point of time.

Currently, previous generation Ford Focus RS is the only car which has got the RS badge and the next generation Ford Focus RS may be the next and only car in the RS variant of Ford lineup. The next gen car is expected to be launched in 2015.

However, this does not mean that the other cars will not get the precious RS badge. Infact Fiesta RS is also one of the contenders for the same.

The president also stated that the company is currently focusing on Mustang but there would always be scope for RS models to be made. Infact according to him, RS badge is so prestigious that he said that it should not be a series or to be included in any portfolio. It is car which is more extreme than even the ST.
