New Mad Max Interceptor concepts being developed by Ford and Top Gear Australia

by Alex

The Ford Falcon XB GT351 Interceptor had starred in the George Miller directed movie named Mad Max. It was Mel Gibson who drove that car thirty two years way back in time. However, both the car and the actor are soon going to turn Hollywood royalty as two new concept studies of the Interceptor are going to be developed by an Australian group that would be headed by Ford and Top Gear Australia magazine.

Todd Willing the chief design head of Ford Australia for the Asia, Pacific and African region is going to form a group for designing this concept car. They have the original Interceptor as their base figure and their studies are all centered on this model. It was the designs by Nima Nourian and Simon Brook which have been selected for the next stage.

Top Gear Australia would publish the two designs in their pages very soon and readers would get an opportunity to vote for their preferred one. The major vote recipient would be the one that would be taken on as the full fledged model progression stage.

The proposed name of the car to be has been selected as “Fury Road” and there is the flavor of reminiscence and marketing ploy both in this name.
