Four dead after car crash on a South Carolina highway

Four people died after a car hit another car head-on on a South Carolina highway on Tuesday.

The crash took place around about 9:40 a.m. near Scuffletown Road and S.C. Highway 418 when a Lincoln sedan was moving west on a road when it went over the centerline. The car then ran head-on into an eastbound Honda Accord.

Three people including a Lincoln passenger and two people in the Honda were pronounced dead at the scene.

They were identified as Crystal Swann, 79, of Fountain Inn Karen Lockamy, 76, of Fountain Inn Evan McNeely, 18, of Greenville.

South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
