Four killed after family’s car fell into Logan Martin Lake, Alabama

Four people died on Saturday after a family’s car left the interstate and fell into Logan Martin Lake, Alabama.

The victims have been identified as April Whatley aged 37; Mariah Towns, 18; Rosalyn White, 5 and Reginald J. White, 3.

The victims hailed from Adamsville. The only survivor, 39-year-old Reginald White, was admitted to UAB Hospital. The others were pronounced dead at the scene.

The car accident took place at about 11 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle left Interstate 20 and entered Logan Martin Lake. The accident led a temporary shutdown of eastbound lanes near the scene of the accident.

It is yet to be known that what caused the accident.
