G-Power currently counted on the other ‘M’ branded version of the range, the diesel-powered M50d.

It’s the third fastest as well as most powerful (HP-wise, not torque-wise) X6 after the 575PS (567hp) X6M and 450PS (443hp) xDrive50i, with the X6 M50d obtaining a tri-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six diesel creating 381PS (376hp) and 740Nm (546 lb-ft) for a 0-100km/ h in 5.2 sec and also a restricted full throttle of 250km/h (155mph) in manufacturing facility trim.

Like many tuners, G-Power’s option for added performance is a reprogrammed ECU (Digital Command Unit). Really, the German firm supplies 2 different ECU upgrades for the M50d, each with particular advantages– on paper, at least.

The first one is a ‘plug as well as play tool’ called the D-Tronik 5 V1 power module. Rather than replacing the factory device, it’s placed in between the manufacturing plant ECU and also diesel motor.

Under partial tons conditions, all incoming information passes through without affecting the engine characteristics, once the driver punches the throttle, it “instantly triggers the distinct fueling and improvement contours” to provide an additional 74PS (73hp) and also 130Nm of torque for a total amount of 455PS (449hp) and also 870Nm (642 lb-ft).

G-Power’s 2nd alternative is their D-Tronik 2 V1 upgrade with a bespoke remapping of the manufacturing facility ECU that allows the customer to set specific criteria for throttle response and also power distribution features.

Completing the receiver’s providings for the X6 M50d is a software application upgrade to remove the 250km/h rate limiter and 23-inch HURRICANE RR shaped alloy wheels offered in various coatings and even a customized signature, shod with 305/25 ZR23 high-performance rubber.
