German opposition parties are going to officially ask for that a parliamentary committee is set up to investigate the automobile emissions scandal triggered by Volkswagen in 2015, opposition sources informed Reuters, last week.

“Our primary focus is the role of Transport Minister Alexander Dobrindt,” stated a single person knowledgeable about the effort, which is being taken by the Greens and the Left party.

Europe’s biggest carmaker is still coming to grips with the fallout of its diesel emissions scandal which has actually raised questions about the German automobile sector and appropriate authorities.
