Nissan recalls 727,000 cars because of the fault in doors

Nissan Motor Co. is going to recall 727,012 cars because of faulty paint work on the rear door of numerous hatchback designs, the transportation ministry stated Thursday.

Subject to recall is going to be the Serena and 11 other designs produced in between April 2009 and March 2016, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transportation and Tourism stated.

When opened might result in rust, painting problems on the metal rods that prop up the hatchback door. 5 cases of problems were reported from June 2015 to March 2016, though no one was hurt in the cases, as per the statement.

Mitsubishi Motors Corp. will recall 124,419 cars, including the Pajero Mini and five other models, manufactured from August 2002 to December 2013.

A programming problem in the turbocharged engine might lead to leak of exhaust gas and a fault in the cooling system could lead to engine failure, the ministry informed.

In total, 273 cases of flaws have actually been reported during July 2011 through January this year.
