Honda has decided to put car production in Turkey to an end after completion of the production of its present Civic Sedan model in 2021, the company stated on Monday.

It stated it made the decision because of electrification developments in the industry worldwide and the need to make sure that there is adequate production capacity.

Operations in the automobile field that include vehicle imports and distribution would continue, Honda stated, adding that its motorcycle operations will not be affected by this decision.
