Honda will resume auto production in US, Canada from May 11

Honda Motor stated on Friday it will gradually restart production at U.S. and Canadian auto plants from May 11.

The Japanese automaker, which postponed production on March 23, is also recalling all salaried and support workers who have been on furlough.

Honda will enforce new safety requirements at its plants including temperature checks. No one will be permitted to enter in Honda plants with a temperature of 100-degrees Fahrenheit or higher, the automaker said.

About 66,434 people in Canada have been confirmed as being infected with the coronavirus. The virus has killed 4,569 people in the country. Where as there have been 1,317,376 infections and 78,200 deaths in the US because of the virus.
