Lotus has finally decided to present to the public the full version of the commercial staring its “new” Exige S, after releasing a teaser just before Frankfurt Motor Show. The Exige S is supposed to take on the Porsche Boxter, and if we were to judge only by the promo, this is more than a possibility.
It has been known even before the event that the car’s facelifted version will have a new redesigned aggressive front fascia, which has been really well emphasized by the way the video was created. The Exige S is facing a menacing looking boxer, in what seems to be a battle. Drifting around the man, the Lotus manages to defeat him, from which we can only understand that the boxer represents any competition the car has, not only regarding power, but attitude and perseverence. Anyways, the clip looks really well, and the combination of the african-american boxer and the black Exige S gives the exact right atmosphere.
The Lotus Exige S is powered same engine found on the Evora S, the 3.5 liter supercharged V6, delivering a total output of 345 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, with a total weight of 1.080 kg or 2.376 lbs.
