Mad City Sales breaches DMV regulations, can’t sell cars for 45 days

A car dealership in Madison has been forced to shut down for more than a month for breaching several DMV rules and practices.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Division of Motor Vehicles stated that Mad City Sales, Inc. identified breaches of DMV processes and proscribed business practices.

According to the agency, they suspended Mad City Sales’ vehicle dealership license on March 26. The suspension will exist for 45 days, ending on May 9.

Department of motor vehicles (DMV) is a state-level government agency in the United States which administers vehicle registration and driver licensing. Similar departments present in Canada under different names.
