A man walked away from an accident in Chula Vista, California on Sunday that left his car split into two pieces.
Officers with the Chula Vista Police Department said the driver had lost control of his car and struck a tree near the intersection of Del Rey Boulevard and North Rancho Del Rey Parkway on early Sunday morning. A spokesperson said officers discovered the car split in half with the driver still inside the vehicle.
First responders helped the driver to get out of the car. He was alert and walking and seemed to have only minor injuries.
Officials did not have information regarding the cause behind the crash.
