German luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz on Monday stated it would provide discounts on cars imported into China from the United States until March 31 following the suspension from Beijing on additional tariffs on U.S.-made cars.

Costs of four models were slashed by between 36,000 yuan ($5,219.96) and 135,000 yuan, the Daimler AG-owned company stated on its microblog.

China will temporarily suspend extra 25 percent tariffs on U.S.-made vehicles and auto parts from January 1, the finance ministry stated on Friday, after a truce in a trade war between China and the United States.

Tesla stated on Friday it had slashed costs on its Model S and Model X vehicles in China following country’s tariff reduction.
