MINI Cooper Clubman and Cabrio Spotted

There have been quite a few spy photos available on the World Wide Web pages recently depicting what seems to be the MINI Cooper Clubman and Cabrio vehicle models. It turns out that these spy photos reveal those aforementioned vehicles being tested by their manufacturer. Considering that MINI is actually a subsidiary under BMW, which is based in Germany, these photos should show quite accurate representations of the vehicles in question.

Taking a more detailed look at those photos, both the MINI Cooper Clubman and Cabrio models seem to be wearing some sorts of a camouflage. However, to be honestly speaking, there is really no point in applying such camouflage onto any MINI models. The thing is they all look just about the same as one another, including the upcoming Clubman and Cabrio variants.

Speaking of the MINI Cooper Cabrio, this is basically just the same as the company’s three-door hatchback version. The only difference it has compared to the standard three-door variant is that it now comes with a soft top. Yet, as for the Clubman variant, it will remain true to the concept version that MINI introduced some time ago back at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show event.

Engine options are likely to remain the same as before. To begin with, customers can get a 1.5L 3-cylinder engine capable of 134 hp and 162 lb-ft of power and torque, respectively. In addition to that, a diesel version will most likely be available as well, with a power of 114 hp and a torque of 199 lb-ft. For those demanding a more ultimate engine option, they can always go for the S trim. In this case, they will get a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with 189 hp and 206 lb-ft of power and torque. Last but not least, the JCW trim, which is at the top of the range, will boast 228 hp of power and 320 Nm of torque.

According to reports, both the MINI Cooper Clubman and Cabrio will be released no later than the second half of 2015.
