Hyundai’s Genesis Coupe, which has been among the more successful models, is now registering formally as a participant or member in the U.S. in the 2011 model year. The coupe has some minor inner elaborations. Above all a new hotter model called the “3.8 R-Spec” is also being introduced. The 2011 Genesis Coupe prices are however, not yet announced by Hyundai.
Previously the model was available only in alignment with the 210 HP 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. However, the new R-Spec model is equipped with the 3.8 liter V6 engine and is available for ordering by customers right now. The 3.8 liter engine delivers 306 HP and 266 lb.-ft. of steady unleaded torque levels. The R-Spec model’s 3.8 liter engine is attached exclusively to a six-speed manual gearbox.
The automatic headlights, cruise control and certain trim bits which includes adding a track-tuned, stiffer suspension, 19-inch alloys shod with Bridgestone Potenza tires are some of the non-essential comfort features that R-Spec treatment has filtered out of the luxury car. Some other features of the R-Spec treatment package include limited slip differential and Brembo brakes with 13.4-inch front discs and 13.0-inch rear discs, sportier seats and special badging.
Apart from all 2011 Genesis Coupe models, the new 3.8 R-Spec model features some enhancements in the interior that does manages to liven things up in the inside. These includes the use of new soft-touch materials on center speaker grille, glove box, the door panels, and lower instrument panel along with the steering wheel. The R-Spec model also features different finishes on the shift bezel, cloth-wrapped A-pillars, dashboard knobs, and instruments gauge cluster rings.
