A New Release From Anderson Germany: 2011 Maserati GranTurismo S Superior Black Edition

by Sebastian Bivin

The German tuner seems to have a thing for turning already superior sports cars into lean and mean beasts of the road with exquisite black exterior paint finishes and upgraded power outputs. The latest release from Anderson Germany is a package for the Maserati GranTurismo S.

According to the tuner, they revised the 4.7-liter V8 unit which fits the Italian model in order to deliver 492 horsepower. This means that you get 52 horses in addition over the standard model, extra power which will slightly improve the acceleration time. Still, the official figures are not available yet.

Maserati GranTurismo S Superior Black Edition rides on new 21-inch alloy wheels in a glossy black finish complemented by 265 low profile tires up front and 295 at the rear, while Anderson Germany also lowered the suspension.

At the exterior this car benefits from some glossy black trim, a new bonnet with air intake, front and rear aprons, side air inlets and a tailgate. All of these components are made of lightweight carbon fiber and match perfectly the black body finish and the wheels.

In the cabin, however, are the real upgrades. The car gets exclusive air inlets, door knobs, the switch desk in the roof liner, the door sill panels, the steering wheel, the seat regulation levers, the shifting paddles, as well as the radio mask. Carbon fiber, black leather and Alcnatara and red stitching are the dominant features of the cabin.

In addition to all these comes a customized sound system with a new monitor in the dash board, monitors in the headrests, PS3 player, loud speaker, subwoofer and amplifier provide the appropriate multimedia.
