Next BMW i8 To Be All-Electric With 750 HP From Three Motors

by SpeedLux

The existing BMW i8 is a plug-in hybrid cars that sets a three-cylinder engine with two electrical motors to make a combined 357 horsepower. However if this most recent report is correct, when the i8 gets revamped, it will nix the engine, and get a big increase in power.

It is reported that the next-generation i8 will probably arrive in 2023. When it does lastly arrive, however, it will reportedly be all electrical, with three motors generating a combined 750 horse power and a 300-mile range.

While this is still not really confirmed, it does square with exactly what we’ve hear previously about the next-gen i8. If it’s all real, then anticipate the next i8 will have more than double the horse power of the original.
