One person killed after car fire near Malibu, California

One person was killed on Thursday morning in a car fire in the unincorporated Topanga area near Malibu, California.

Firefighters responded to the incident around 12:30 a.m. to Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

One person in the vehicle was killed, though any more details related to the individual are yet to be revealed, the department said.

No additional details were available and the fire was under investigation.
