by SpeedLux

Porsche has disclosed the pricing information for the upcoming 918 Spyder model.

Estimated to make debut this year, the highly expected Porsche 918 Spyder will be sold in the U.S. at a starting price of 845,000 USD (407,500 GBP or 634,500 EUR), excluding the destination & handling fees.

If one chooses the Weissach package then price increases to 929,000 USD. This voluntary package reduces the supercar’s curb weight by 77 lbs (34 kg) by removing the audio system, air conditioning, door storage and armrest, while the regular paint is removed in favor of an exterior foil.

The 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder is expected to shoulder a V8 4.6-liter engine generating 580 hp (432 kW) and more than 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. It will be combined together with couple of electric motors to produce an extra 245 hp (183 kW).

Porsche‘s model will provide a combined output of approximately 795 hp (593 kW) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft).
It will sprint from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).
