Prisoner escapes on motorbike after hospital visit

A prisoner from HMP Northumberland, United Kingdom, has escaped on a stolen motorcycle whilst going to a healthcare center check out.

Cops were called to Cramlington Hospital in Northumberland at around 6pm on Friday.

The prisoner is a 36-year-old man who received treatment and was with prison personnel, he was leaving the healthcare facility when he ran. He consequently escaped on a motorbike that he had stolen.

Policemans discover the detainee and the stolen motorbike at an address in Wallsend at 8pm the same evening.

One man aged 36, has been apprehended on suspicion of leaving from lawful custody, two others a guy aged 27 and a female aged 25, have both been jailed on suspicion of helping an escapee.
