Renault PRO+ has improved the Master Z.E. range with a boosted gross vehicle weight bringing added capability and also a new chassis cab version giving customers an even greater possibility for converting the all-electric model.

Earlier offered in only a 3.1-tonne derivative, the Master Z.E. is now available with a 3.5-tonne gross vehicle weight across an increased range of body styles. The uprated capability brings the Master Z.E. in line with its diesel equivalent while also offering an improved additional payload of 375kg and further conversion options to fulfill customer requirements.

Together with an uplift in payload and Gross Vehicle Weight, the Master Z.E. 3.5T is also going to be available in a new chassis cab configuration offering the perfect base for a wide range of conversions. This, together with panel van and platform cab, is available in a choice of two lengths and two heights, including a price listed ‘Off-the-Shelf’ Luton Low Loader Z.E. meaning the Master Z.E. now provides the widest variety of conversions for a large electric van range.

The New Master Z.E. 3.5T uses the same 33kWh battery like the 3.1T model, giving an all-electric range of up to 75 miles, making it ideal for last-mile deliveries. When powered by a 7kW wall box, a full charge is possible in as little as six hours.

This recent addition to the Master Z.E. range helps to expand the electrification of Renault PRO+ even more, which now also includes the Master Z.E. 3.1T, Kangoo Z.E., and All-New ZOE Van, providing the widest range of all-electric commercial vehicles of any manufacturer.

Multiple model and body options
The boosted Gross Vehicle Weight is offered throughout the entire body range of the Master Z.E. line-up which now includes a new chassis cab available for a wide range of conversions, such as Tippers, Dropsides, and Luton Box vans. The additional body choices, plus a range of two heights and three lengths, mean the Master Z.E. provides the widest range of variants for an electric commercial vehicle.

All body-styles benefit from increased payload much because of the enhanced Gross Vehicle Weight delivering further practicality and further uses for the individual, such as the panel van now capable of being converted into a minibus for at least 13 passengers. The bodystyles available include:

  • Chassis Cab: A new chassis cab version is available with a maximum payload of 1,620kg before conversion. The Master Z.E. chassis cab permits for a host of conversions consisting of Tipper, Dropside and Luton Box Van. For example, a Master Z.E. equipped with a 20 m3large volume box and a tail lift guarantees 1,000kg of payload.
  • Platform Cab: Two platform cab versions are available with a payload up to 1,740kg. This boosted payload permits for larger conversions, including the possibility of a Luton Low-Loader of up to 20m3, with the advantage of a low loading sill.
  • Panel van: With four practical panel van versions available, with volumes between 9 – 13m3, now providing up to 1,490kg of payload. This boosted payload makes it possible to shift heavier equipment or even minibus conversions.

Powertrain, range and charging
The Master Z.E. 3.5T is controlled by the same 33kWh battery and 57kW power unit as the 3.1T model. This ensures the medium-sized all-electric commercial vehicle is able to travel up to 75 miles on a single full charge, making it ideal for last-mile delivery purposes.

Offering 225Nm of torque, a series of on-board technologies help to optimize the range including regenerative braking and an Eco mode which restricts abrupt acceleration and also limiting the maximum speed to 50mph.

The Master Z.E. 3.5T can be charged from zero to 100 percent in only six hours when plugged into a 32 A/7kW wallbox, which can be adjusted as a home charger or through a public charging point, giving users a variety of charging options.

Warranty
The Master Z.E. 3.5T comes with a 3-year /100,000 mile warranty as standard. The automaker’s confidence in its battery technology is backed by the 5-year / 62,000 battery warranty as standard on the automobile.
