Rumor: Lamborgini Estoque Convertible Might Be Unveiled In 2015

by Alex

When we talk about Lamborghini Estoque, we talk about one of the cars that created a lot of buzz among supercar fanatics as the next generation Lamborghini in 2008 Paris Motor Show. It seems that now it’s back from the shadow after all these years, with the news that it’s in production and the basic model is expected to arrive in 2014.

The rumors says that it’s a revived version of Lamborghini Espada which was Lamborghini’s first-ever four-door. Also it is rumored that drop top version will be launched one year later while convertible will arrive as a concept in 2015, which too will go for production in 2016.

This new model will fill the gap between the supercar enthusiasts and those who are searching for a supersport four-door luxury sedan. Also worth mentioning that the four-door supercar will face tough competition from Porsche Panamera and Aston Martin Rapide. It seems that the car maker has incorporated a significant amount of technology from the Audi A8, as related by autoguide.com.

The front-engined Estoque is expected to be loaded with a 5.2-liter V10 engine which itself will be debuted with another Lamborghini future car, Cabrera, in 2013. The engine would deliver about 600HP at 8000 rpm. The car would be able to accelerate up to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds with the top speed of 190 mph.

Also there is a slight chance that the Estoque might be available with a hybrid drive-train developed for Audi A8 in the near future. However, the new model might have an ace on its sleeve giving the fact that it will be more luxurious than its competitors, which will also mean a higher price tag. It is expected that this exquisite four door supercar will set you back $230.000.
