Sandy Springs cops are looking to determine a car after an officer was struck during a traffic stop Friday night, officials stated.

The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. on Roswell Road close to Morgan Falls Road, authorities representative Sgt. Forrest Bohannon stated.

The car, which might be a bright blue compact Ford, was driven from the scene following the incident, cops said.

The officer, who was not recognized, was taken to a hospital and is being treated for small injuries, Bohannon informed.

Anyone with details about the case is asked to call Sandy Springs authorities at 404-843-6637.

Furthermore, tipsters can remain confidential, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by calling Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, sending information to 274637 or checking out crimestoppersatlanta.org.
