SRT CEO says Dodge won’t be eliminated, just more focused

by SpeedLux

There have been lots of rumors on the internet off lately that Dodge could be eliminated and so SRT CEO Ralph Gilles has finally decided to weigh in on the speculation.

Responding to one of the questions on Instagram, the CEO clearly made a point that Dodge was here to stay! He stated that it may get more focused going forward but it would certainly not be killed.

As per some of the previous reports, the more focused lineup is expected to be significantly smaller and as indicated by these reports, the Avenger and at least other two other models will be axed or transferred to Chrysler. There is no official confirmation on the same but the two leading candidates that could bear the brunt are the Durango and Grand Caravan.

If all the three models are dropped, Dodge would have a very limited lineup that would consist of the Dart, Charger, Journey and next generation Challenger / Barracuda which is assuming that it isn’t rebranded as an SRT model.

However we will have to wait till further clarification is received from the company or its officials about the future lineup which the CEO opines is more focused as compared to the current lot of models.
