by SpeedLux

A media report from China is reporting that Suzuki has plans to launch a production variant of the Authentics concept in the latter part of 2014.

Revealed in April this year at Auto Shanghai Motor Show, Suzuki’s attractive Authentics concept will enter the production phase in the second half of next year for the Chinese market. It will be built locally by the Changan-Suzuki joint venture and has been specifically developed for the market in China.

The Suzuki Authentics will be priced in the range of 100,000 and 150,000 yuan and will face competition from other C-segment sedans that include the Nissan Sylphy and Chevrolet Cruze. It will utilize the same platform as the Suzuki S-Cross and will be the first larger sedan to be built by Suzuki in China as the Kizashi that was offered by Suzuki has always been an imported model and could not become very popular due to a high base price of 188,800 yuan.

We will have to wait for further details to be revealed by as of now it is great to know that the Suzuki Authentics concept will see the day of the light very soon.
