Tesla catches fire in France

According to Tesla, a fire that ruined a Model S that caught fire on August 15 in France was caused by a malfunctioning electrical connection.

The blaze had actually begun on a drive with a Tesla representative on board in addition to two other passengers.

According to Tesla in France the occurrence was a relative abnormality.

“Generally, these electrical connections are set up by a robot, but for this automobile this connection was installed by hand,” stated Tesla representative. “There has never been a similar incident in another one of our cars.”

No additional comment was provided as to exactly what the wire was connected to, or why it had actually been set up by a human instead of a machine.
