An update on Tesla Supercharger Program

Four years ago, Tesla had released the Supercharger Network – globally the fastest charging solution – to allow convenient long distance travel. And now, over 4,600 Superchargers enable more than 160,000 Tesla owners to drive.

Tesla recently announced a modification to the economics of Supercharging – one that enables the automaker to reinvest in the network, sped up its growth and bring all owners, present and future, the best Supercharging experience.

Any Tesla model ordered by December 31, 2016 will continue to take advantage of free unlimited Supercharging. For Model S and Model X automobiles ordered after January 1, 2017, 400 kWh of free Supercharging credits (about 1,000 miles) will be included every year so that owners can continue to benefit from free Supercharging during travel.
