Three men died following a head-on car crash west of Townsville, Queensland.
The crash took place when two four-wheel drives traveling in opposite directions crashed on the Flinders Highway at Black Jack, near Charters Towers at 6.30 pm on Friday.
The three occupants of the cars were pronounced dead at the scene.
Both cars were engulfed before the fire spread to nearby grassland.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
