Three killed after car crash in Kelowna, British Columbia

The late-night car crash on Gordon Drive claimed three lives.

Three people were killed in a fatal collision overnight in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.

It is still being investigated by RCMP traffic analysts and the resulting backup is resulting in major delays.

Police have asked drivers to avoid the area until further notice.

Right after midnight, the officials responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Gordon Drive, north of Cook Road.

When officers attended the scene, they observed the vehicle with extensive damage, and the three occupants dead.

According to some eye-witnesses, the vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed and lost control, taking out light posts and splitting the vehicle in half.

Officials are yet to reveal the identities of the involved.
