On Saturday morning, three people were killed in a car crash in the 8900 block of South Ind. 67 in Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana.

One of the victims was taken out from a vehicle. The crash — which scanner traffic showed was a head-on crash — was reported around 9:45 a.m. west of Bell Creek Road.

Traffic on the four-lane state highway remained blocked in both directions at noon.

Indiana State Police were investigating the car crash, which appeared to involve a pickup truck and a SUV.

One of the vehicles crossed the center line on Ind. 67, according to officials.

Together with state police, Delaware County sheriff’s deputies, Daleville police and firefighters, Delaware County EMS and the county’s emergency management agency participated in resolving the incident.

Names of the victims are yet to be released.
