Three killed after car crash on Route 20 in Bridgewater

Three people were killed after a two-car head-on crash and three others were injured on Route 20 in Bridgewater, New York.

A 27-year-old identified as Lindsay Bellair, of Brookfield, was driving westbound on Route 20 with her two sons as passengers.

The crash took place when Bellair’s SUV crossed the center double yellow line and struck an eastbound sedan head-on. The sedan was being driven by a 51-year-old identified as Edward Cutler, of Taberg.

There were two others in the Cutler’s car, including Michelle Cutler, 43, wife of Edward and Barbara Cutler, 72 of Taberg, mother of Edward.

Edward and Barbara were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Bellair’s 5-year-old son, Zander Boucher was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Michelle Cutler was hospitalized at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Utica in critical condition. She is in stable condition after she was transferred to Upstate University Hospital.

Bellair was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital together with her 1-year-old son before getting transferred to Upstate University Hospital where he is in stable condition.

Route 20 was closed for several hours.

Oneida County Sherriff’s Office investigated the crash.
