Three killed after car crash in Toms River, New Jersey

Three people were killed after a car crash on early Friday morning involving two vehicles.

Officials got the first call around 12:25 a.m. regarding the crash that took place on Lakehurst Road at Hospital Drive near Community Medical Center in Toms River, New Jersey.

Tina Dung, 21 of Maryland, was stopped for the traffic light before she drove through the red signal and crashed with a Legacy Towing flatbed wrecker heading east on Lakehurst Road.

Dung had minor injuries.

The three passengers in Dung’s car, all citizens of China, were killed in the crash. Victims include a 54-year-old male, a 52-year-old female, and a 23-year-old male. All of them hailed from the same family.

Toms River police are yet to determine what caused the crash.
