Three killed after two-car crash in Newberry County

Three people were killed in a car crash on Friday afternoon in Newberry County, South Carolina.

The crash took place around 3:15 p.m. in the area of SC 121/34 near Industrial park Road.

The three victims have been identified as a 17-year-old named Jasmine Rosas of Saluda who was driving a 2016 Nissan Sentra as well as 17-year-old Jason Santos, also of Saluda, who was her passenger. Another person was a 21-year-old named Colin Kittrell of Greer who was driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee.

All three were pronounced dead at the scene after both vehicles crashed with each other.

South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated the crash.

The autoposies are yet to be conducted.
