Three valet workers killed after driver crashes while fleeing Houston police

Three valet workers were killed after a car doing doughnuts in a parking lot and when asked by the police spotted it, the car accelerated and crashed into the workers in Houston.

Three workers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The took place around 10:30 p.m. Friday when a sergeant saw the white sedan’s stunts while on routine patrol, Houston Police Department Assistant Chief Yasar Bashir said.

The vehicle reached an estimated 60 miles per hour while attempting to flee.

After hitting the valet workers, the car barreled into a ditch and hit an object there before finally coming to a rest. The driver and his passenger were both injured. Both were admitted to a hospital for treatment. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

Officials working to figure out whether the driver was intoxicated. They believe the driver is expected to face charges carrying the potential of life in jail.
