Volkswagen’s Traton commercial truck unit has seen cancellations of orders because of the coronavirus outbreak but these are manageable, its chief informed a German magazine in an article published on Friday.

WirtschaftsWoche also quoted Andreas Renschler as stating that he could not rule out major job cuts.

As of December 31, 2019, Traton has 29 production and assembly sites worldwide in 17 countries and has hired 82,700 workers.

About 103,375 people in Germany have been confirmed as being infected with the coronavirus. The virus has killed 1,810 people in the country.
