Two dead after wrong-way two-car crash on I-95 in Connecticut

Two people have died after a two-car crash on I-95 northbound in Guilford, Connecticut on Sunday night.

Officials said it was around 10:45 p.m. when a car was traveling north on I-95 in Guilford near exits 56 and 57. A second car was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes before both cars crashed the wrong way on the highway, in the same area.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the northbound car was identified as Jose Dias of Providence, RI. The driver of the other car was Klever Cardova of Guilford.

The crash is currently under investigation.
