Two dead after car crash in County Durham

Two people died after a car crash in the early hours of Sunday morning on 5th September in County Durham, England.

The incident occurred at around 1.30 am morning on the A688 bypass between the Coxhoe and Bowburn roundabout.

A grey BMW was traveling north from Bowburn Services, throughout the motorway interchange and up the A688 towards the A181, where it left the road and came to a stop in a field.

A man and a woman in the BMW were pronounced dead at the scene.

Durham Police on Twitter wrote: “We are appealing for witnesses to a collision in which two people have sadly died.”
