Two dead, one injured after car crash in Louisville

Two men died and a woman was injured following a car crash on Friday morning on I-264 East in Louisville, Kentucky.

The crash took place around 3:45 a.m. when a car was traveling in the wrong direction in the eastbound lanes of I-264 near the Bells Lane overpass after which the car struck another car head-on.

Two men, the drivers of both cars, were ejected and were pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman in serious condition was admitted to UofL Hospital.

Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating the crash.

The crash site is expected to remain shut down for some time.
