Two dead and three injured after car crash in Dallas

Two people were killed and three others were injured following a car crash in Dallas on Friday night.

The two-vehicle crash at the 13900 block of Esperanza Road when a driver was going the wrong way.

Officials believe a pickup truck was driving south in the northbound lane of Esperanza Road and was accelerating when it hit a SUV head-on.

Two people who were in the SUV were admitted to the hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.

Three others were also hospitalized. Their injuries were non-life-threatening.

The suspect fled the crash scene on foot and is yet to be arrested.

Officials have urged people to contact them at 214-671-0015 with the information related to the crash.
