Two girls died following a car crash that took place on I-93 near the Vermont border on Sunday night.

The crash took place when a 36-year-old driver identified as Jordan Couture of Vermont, was heading north on the highway, just south of Exit 44 in Littleton, just before 7 p.m. before he lost control of his 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck.

After that, the truck left the roadway to the left side of the road and entered the median. The vehicle then slid sideways and eventually started rolling over, ejecting the two girls.

Both girls were pronounced dead at the scene.

Couture was admitted to Littleton Regional Hospital with minor injuries for treatment.

New Hampshire State Police is investigating the crash.
