Two killed after car crash in Pickens County

Two people were killed and four others were injured after a car crash on Thursday night in Pickens County, South Carolina.

The crash took place around 6:45 p.m. on U.S. 123 near Cartee Road.

The crash took place when a Dodge Ram pickup truck rear-ended a Ford Fiesta, after which it veered off the road and into the woods. The Ford Fiesta overturned several times in the crash.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other people in the car and the pickup truck driver were admitted to the hospital.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
