Two people were killed after a car crash involving a commercial vehicle along US 2 Thursday in Monroe, Washington.
The crash took place when an SUV was traveling westbound on Highway 2 when it crossed the center line and struck a double dump truck head-on.
The two people in the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the dump truck was admitted to the hospital.
The highway was closed at Fern Bluff in Sultan and Old Owen following the crash.
Washington State Patrol is investigating the crash.
