Two were killed after a car crash on Wheeler Ridge Road in the south of Bakersfield on Tuesday.
Four others were injured in the crash.
The crash took place around 10:15 p.m. when a man was driving his Acura. He drove directly into the southbound lane and crashed head-on into a Honda occupied by five people.
Three of the occupants were under the age of ten in the Honda.
Both drivers of the vehicles were pronounced dead and the passengers of the Honda were admitted to Kern Medical with major injuries.
California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
