Two killed after crash on I-4 in Osceola County

Two women from Florida were killed on Monday following a two-vehicle crash on I-4 in Osceola County.

The crash was reported at 10:50 p.m.

It took place when a car and an SUV were westbound on I-4 when the car, traveling in the center, moved into the right lane and hit the left rear of the SUV.

The SUV overturned and two women were ejected.

One woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another one succumbed to her injuries at Celebration Hospital. One was a 59-year-old Wimauma woman and another one was a 54-year-old Riverview woman.

Two men in the SUV suffered minor injuries.

The car driver, a 28-year-old Davenport man had minor injuries as well.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
