Two killed after four-vehicle crash in Sumter County

Two people were killed in a four-vehicle crash in Sumter County, Florida on Friday.

The crash took place when a sport utility vehicle east on County Road 48, at about 7 p.m. was driving on the right side of the road while attempting to negotiate a curve, then over-corrected and entered the westbound lane where three automobiles were oncoming.

The SUV crashed nearly head on with a car driven and continued eastward before hitting the front end of sport utility vehicle.

The Bushnell man driving SUV suffered fatal injuries. His SUV crashed with a third vehicle driven by a 48-year-old Eustis woman.

Two people were killed in the crash.

Florida Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
