Two killed after multi-vehicle crash in Unicoi County

Two people were killed and two others were injured after a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday night involving two motorcycles and a car in Unicoi County, Tennessee.

The crash took place around 8:15 p.m. near Simerly Creek Road and Jack Berry Road when a Harley-Davidson motorcycle crossed the middle of the road and struck a Subaru Outback. Another Harley-Davidson was not able to stop and it struck the first motorcycle.

The two people on the first Harley-Davidson died while the drivers of the second Harley-Davidson and Subaru were injured.

The dead were identified as Shawn Hill and Tina Nunley, both of Elizabethton.

They were using helmets at the time of the crash.

Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
